When you are lucky enough to live in the heart of Columbus, there are few things better than dining out at all the amazing restaurants in the Short North Arts District. Whether looking for the newest hot spot, a tried-and-true favorite, or a hidden gem, the Short North has them all! Here are just a few of our favorite restaurants in the Short North.
There probably isn’t a better tried-and-true restaurant in Columbus than Northstar Cafe. This popular eatery is well known for its healthier and organic brunch options, like its Sweet Potato Hash and Mushroom Frittata. They also offer larger meal options like Classic Cheeseburgers, Black Bean Burger, and Chicken Chili. Even better, many of their food options can be prepared meat or dairy-free so there is truly something for everyone.
Situated in the heart of the Short North, The Pearl is the perfect spot for a night out. It’s a restaurant for people who love food, and their chefs love to pair innovative culinary techniques with traditional tavern fare that’s made-from-scratch comfort food. The Pearl’s oyster and shellfish options make it stand out, but we are confident that none of the options at The Pearl will disappoint.
Another restaurant from Cameron Mitchell Restaurants, The Guild House, is another popular spot in the Short North. An artisan eatery offering creative American cuisine, it’s a great date night option. Their foods are sourced from locally grown ingredients whenever possible, and their chefs create seasonal dishes that are regionally and locally inspired. They also offer an expansive wine list with wines from around the world and signature-crafted cocktails.
The Short North Pint House is perfect for a night out with friends. A local favorite, it features a one-of-a-kind open-air Biergarten, delicious pub food, handcrafted cocktails, and over 75 different beers, including some local craft brews. Go for happy hour and stay for a fun night out!
This is just a sampling of the eateries in the Short North. The best thing about living in the heart of the city is the chance to explore new places or find your go-to spot for you and your friends.
